Your path to preschool

The Path to Preschool helps you as a new arrival to take your first steps toward a job in a preschool.

Through independent study online, you can develop your language abilities while learning about the fundamental values of Swedish preschools. The training material is available in Arabic, English, Farsi, Russian, Swedish and Ukrainian.

Go through the lesson materials a few times and practice in your mother tongue and in Swedish until you understand the lessons.

Once you have completed and understand all the lessons, you can take a final test. When you pass, you will be awarded a diploma.

Your training

In this course, you will learn about the preschool and its fundamental values. Begin by practicing words and sentences in Swedish. When you’re done with the language training, you can move on and work on a lesson.

Once you have done all the language training and the lessons on fundamental values, you are ready to take a final test. The test is in Swedish. Upon passing the test, you will receive a diploma showing that you have completed the course.

This diploma shows that you have basic knowledge of the Swedish preschool. For working pedagogically in preschool, you first need to master Swedish and have an education for child minders (upper secondary school) or a preschool teacher’s degree (university).
